“Brown is a four time Tony-nominated choreographer and director known for her innovative fusion of African American dance traditions with various contemporary performance styles. Her groundbreaking choreography for Choir Boy, Once on This Island, Hell's Kitchen, and the current Gypsy revival has been highly acclaimed. In 2022, she made her debut as a director-choreographer with for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf, which netted seven Tony nominations and significant praise.
